chicken ‘n dumplings casserole

lately i’ve been trying to be more domestic. i like knowing matt can come home to a home-cooked meal after working 10 long, demanding hours.

so yesterday, with the colder weather coming in, i decided to make a chicken n dumplings casserole. no recipe, just me throwin stuff together.

here’s what i used:

  • one can of cream of mushroom
  • three chicken breasts
  • 2 chicken bullion cubes
  • half a stick of butter
  • one container of jumbo buttermilk biscuits

here’s how it got cooked:

i pre-heated the oven to 375′. then i chunked up the thawed chicken breast and threw them in a skillet with the bullion till they were about 3/4 the way cooked. i melted the butter in the microwave and poured in into my little casserole dish. next i threw the chicken in the dish, then the cream of mushroom, then layed the biscuits right on top. it all cooked for about 15 minutes.

my apartment smelled SO GOOD and comforting!

matt and i agree this will be on our faves list for the fall and winter šŸ™‚
